Activity Check
Neon Requiem uses a modified "check-in" activity check. There are no comment counts for activity check. Instead, your AC is in the form of a report written by your character and submitted to their caseworker at the Bureau of Soul Affairs. (If your character would absolutely refuse to do this, AC can be written by their caseworker instead!) This report is a brief summary of or thoughts on your character’s activities of the month, to be added to their file for consideration in Soul Judgment.
This can be as long or short as you like, in any format you please. Your character can attempt to mislead or lie. However, if they do lie, the truth of their activities will appear as a magical addendum at the bottom of the page (because we really do want to know what they’re up to!) Don't worry: there will be no consequences for what your character confesses in AC.
AC is due by midnight EST on the last day of each month. Failure to post will result in your character being swept from the game.
If circumstances require that you take a hiatus, you are excused from AC for the requested calendar month. You may only take one hiatus per three month period. (EX: if you hiatus in January, you must complete AC for February and March.)
If you are in need of a longer hiatus or you have special circumstances of any kind, please let the mods know and we'll be happy to work something out with you.
For new characters: Reply beneath your handle with your character's name and canon in the subject line. All of your monthly AC will replied to this comment (see example below.)
For all characters: Each month, reply to your character's comment, write the month in the subject line, and write your AC in the comment. You can do this in any format you like, but here's a nice standard form to make things simple.

MONTHLY SOUL REPORT
Irene,
So. This is soul report number 1. I mean, Requiem is pretty cool, not gonna lie. The level of tech is a lot to be desired compared to Neomuna but hey! Bonus points for indoor plumbing and hot showers! Oh, and arcades. Seriously though, I'm grateful there's some computer tech at all. I was going nuts in the last universe I was stuck in.
The communal boarding house [address included] I'm living in is pretty nice, though eventually I plan on getting a new more private apartment. My mode of travel makes it pretty easy to go anywhere in the city pretty quickly so I've been doing a lot of exploring and protecting folks from monsters and other creepy crawlies. Speaking of which, I struck up an agreement with BEASTFORCE as an independent contractor. I'm on call for emergencies and I assist them with patrolling and dealing with monster events around the city. I'm kind of their 'eyes in the sky' which is a lot of fun.
I've been reuniting with people that I bumped into from my own universe which is kind of nice though concerning too. Plus I've been making new friends (one of them being my room mate). Also, that big Samhain festival at the end of the month was pretty enjoyable (except for the gunfight with the gangsters at the end. I like a good brawl like any Cloud Strider, but not when civilians are in danger). I'm not sure how Neomuni recipes ended up at the banquet, but they were appreciated!
Hopefully there's been some progress in finding answers to the questions that I had sent in my last email. Please let me know as soon as possible!

Yooo Irene! What's up?
Just reporting in. Nothing too crazy (other than monster fighting), but I've been keeping busy. I've been really enjoying helping out BEASTFORCE and doing regular patrols just like I would do on Neomuna. Yeah I'm a little homesick, but I do what I can, ya know?
The job fair was pretty cool. I was helping BEASTFORCE with the booth and sparring with interested people and recruits. I even had a chance to go off and check out other booths too which was kinda fun. I don't intend on being a wrestler but playful trash talking with the other wrestlers at the AWE booth was hilarious. Also the fall festival by Crystal Lake is pretty nice! Been enjoying hanging out over there too.
Anyway, I hope the paperwork I sent earlier has been going through. I still haven't received any solid answers on those questions I sent.

Irene,
Soooo yeah I've been keeping busy with BEASTFORCE doing monster bounties and patrols. Please note that if I get sent for 'volunteer service' like I did a while back - at least give me something to do that I'm qualified for! I like animals and all, but I was so out of my league at the zoo. I attached some notes to this email, highlighting some of my main skills and expertise for future reference.
That shindig at the hotel during the Solstice was pretty wild. It was a lot of fun until the death vines showed up, trying to suck the life...unlife(?) outta folks. In the end I was glad to be there to help get people out of danger. It's what I do ya know?
I finally figured out the winter clothing thing. I've been enjoying the winter market and I've met some new friends around the city. I miss Neomuna something fierce, but at least here the city is vibrant and full of people to talk to. There's always stuff to do. Monsters to fight, people to help, and arcades and clubs to have fun in at the end of the day.
With all that being said, I'm still not too keen on being kept away from home too long. I'll help out while I'm here, but my duties do lie elsewhere.

FEBRUARY 2024
The soul under my charge has been oddly silent this past month. Unusually so. The incessant inquiries and messages have ceased for the time being. Not sure if I should be concerned or relieved. I will choose the latter for now.
According to contacts within BEASTFORCE, Nimbus is still an active member and continues to do regular city-wide patrols. They apparently pulled extra hours assisting with the aftermath of the 'incident' at the Styx Inc. chemical plant.
I will continue to monitor and try to regain contact with my charge.

Yeah yeah I'm still here. How come trying to contact you is like pulling teeth, but if I go dark you make my inbox explode?
Aaaanyway, yes I'm still doing hero stuff with BEASTFORCE!, keeping souls safe and all. No, I'm not gonna go postal or anything like that. I'm not that kind of Cloud Strider. I've just been discouraged lately and yeah I'm homesick. But for now, I'll just continue doing what I do best and make some friends along the way.

It's been a crazy month let me tell ya, with those crazy old school VR goggles. Before all the...weird stuff happened, I did think they were pretty cool. Primitive clunky things but cool. I was able to enjoy my own little piece of Neomuna in there for a little while. I may still use them to help with being homesick now that they aren't linked to the network.
It's also a good thing I don't need sleep as much as a regular human does - those dreams were something. I'm glad all that mess is over with.
Howeeever, I am a bit of a hack genius back home. So if any assistance is needed to make the virtuabro safe to hook to the network again, I'm your Cloud Strider. Feel free to voluntell me to help the developers anytime.

I had no idea that this month was going to end up being a month of parties!! I couldn't get enough! I had the most fun I've had in months! If I end up being stuck here for the summer, I hope those months are just as great. Seriously!
It reminds me of some of the parties we would have on Neomuna. Picture a giant outdoor block party with drinks, music and dancing and tons of gaming!! Take notes - I'd love to see stuff like that here!!

Hey Irene!
This is turning out to be a pretty wild beginning to the summer! Not only was the whole carnival coming out of the ocean pretty crazy (though clearing it of monsters with BEASTFORCE was a lot of fun), but the whole mirror thing where I somehow turned into how I was before I became a Cloud Strider? I wasn't expecting to go down memory lane, but wow, it sure was great to have hair again. I'm back to my big silver good lookin' self again.

I know it's been ages since I last mentioned it, but I really would like a follow up on one of the requests I sent. I just gotta know, ya know?
Anyway, life (unlife?) has been going well I suppose. Still hunting down creepy crawlies like a boss with BEASTFORCE. Helping other folks. Just Cloud Strider things. I'm also really digging summertime fun in Requiem with the carnival and the beach. The Arcade too. I'm having a good time, but it's not home if ya know what I mean. So yeah, I would really like a push on those requests in office limbo or whatever is going on.
